Firstly the positive – the staff were friendly and accommodating.
But sadly, now the negatives – although this pubs' website states "Our spacious patio area is ideal for soaking up some summer sun after a local dog walk", it did not mention that dogs are allowed in the restaurant area. I am allergic to dog hair and both my partner and I think it's unhygienic to have dogs around dining tables. There were so many of them on the day we visited it felt like we were having lunch in Crufts !!! Also, the food is VERY expensive for what is basically pub grub (over £120 for three meals with no starters, 2 cokes and two glasses of wine !). Our roasts were ok (although both the lamb and beef were not very tender) and we've had far better food that is less expensive elsewhere. We won't be returning.

Visited for a family birthday celebration. A lot of confusion around the pre booking of meals which could of been avoided.
The food and service was to a good standard with everyone enjoying their roast meals.
The kids prawn cocktail is a little on the spicy side. The wine selection is good and we were happy overall.

Fantastic family pub popped in Sunday for a bite to eat and a drink didn't have a roast but must say saw some going past, looked lovely had some cooked snacks they were excellent bar staff and service staff were so friendly good choice of drinks the pub has a lovely front beer garden. when we parked in the car park we were greeted by 3 deer just standing in the field looking at us I would definitely recommend although the food looked amazing it did seem a little expensive ..but they do say you get what you pay for so maybe next timx😋👍

We arrived for an early lunch and were warmly greeted by our waitress. The service throughout was great. We chose a starter and two sides each for our mains. They were fresh and delicious and we couldn't resist the desserts. Well done, The Exchquer - we'll be back!

We've been coming here for years and it has always green good but last night was special. Food, atmosphere and staff were perfect.

Lovely staff; very friendly and welcoming.
Food is very expensive (imo) and portions are on the skimpy side. The food has alot of salt added and meals are very rich.
Drinks are expensive too, compared to other pubs.
Not wheelchair friendly - there are steps up to the entrance.

Great place to stop for dinner on the way home from a long drive. Beats a service station and wasn't far off the motorway!
Staff were lovely and the food was very tasty. Sitting outside in the sun was very relaxing as well. Very quiet area!
Bit on the expensive side but it was definitely quality over quantity.
They also has Guinness 0.0 for those wanting a beer but have lots of driving ahead!

Some colleagues and I came here to get the British pub home experience. This is a nice place with an expansive menu. It's a high end gastro pub . The service staff are friendly.
It is not quite your typical British pub as I think they adjusted to the local Four Season like hotel. For example, they serve bok choy.
